Our Bakery Menu


Blue Vanilla's pastries and desserts are made from scratch and baked fresh daily. Each product begins with simple, basic ingredients that are combined in such a way as to create deliciously flavored treats to be enjoyed throughout the day. We always begin with the highest quality ingredients possible and buy local fruits and berries in season. We never use any shortening, preservatives or artificial flavorings, and we only use artificial sweeteners in our sugar-free items. The selection will vary from day to day but some of the items you will see in our pastry case are listed below.


Muffins, Scones and Sweet Rolls

Best Blueberry Muffins
A sweet muffin full of plump blueberries and topped with a sprinkling of sugar.

Chunky Banana Bran Muffins
A healthful combination of fruit and fiber, these muffins are moist, light and bursting with banana sweetness.

Sugar-Free Low-Fat Carrot Raisin Muffins
A super moist muffin with carrots, raisins, applesauce and pecans -- all of the flavor with none of the sugar.

Pumpkin Scones
A tender scone flavored with pumpkin and spiced with cinnamon, ginger and cloves.

Cranberry Orange Scones
A scone studded with dried cranberries and orange zest and glazed with an orange icing.

Cherry Almond Scones
Tart dried cherries baked into an almond flavored scone and topped with sliced almonds and sugar.

Jam Scones
A tender butter scone sliced and filled with fruit jam (flavors vary).

Raspberry Cream Cheese Morning Buns
A moist cream cheese bun with raspberry preserves swirled through the middle and then dusted with powdered sugar.

Pecan Sticky Buns
A sweet yeast roll filled with butter and brown sugar and topped with gooey caramel and chopped pecans.

Orange Rolls
A sweet yeast dough filled with a mixture of butter, sugar and orange zest and then topped with an orange butter cream icing.

Cinnamon Rolls
Our version of the classic morning favorite made with raisins and topped with a vanilla butter cream icing.


Coffee Cakes and Quick Breads

Boysenberry Lemon Coffee Cake
A lemon cake studded with boysenberries and topped with a zesty lemon glaze. (Sometimes we do this cake with blueberries, as well.)

Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake
A traditional sour cream cake filled and topped with a mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon and walnuts.

Rhubarb Bread (in season)
An exceptionally moist loaf made with rhubarb and topped with a crumble mixture.

Pumpkin Loaf
A bread made with pumpkin and traditional pumpkin pie spices finished off with a cream cheese icing.

Lemon Loaf
A sweet bread iced with a tart lemon glaze.

Banana Bread
A moist bread bursting with banana goodness and a hint of cinnamon.


Cookies

Lemon Bars
A shortbread base topped with a tart and tangy lemon curd and dusted with powdered sugar.

Brownies
A moist, fudgy square of heavenly decadence

Raspberry Oat Bars
A delicious raspberry filling sandwiched between two layers of brown sugar/oatmeal streusel.

Cookies
An assortment of favorites including chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, snickerdoodle molasses chews, chocolate/white chocolate chunk, shortbread, and others (selection varies).


Pies, Tarts and Tartlets

Our pies have a flaky, buttery crust and are filled with delicious fruits, crunchy nuts, creamy custards and tart citrus curds. The selection will vary by season. Each pie will serve 6-8.


Layer Cakes

We will usually have one of the following cakes in our cold case for purchase by the slice (or the whole cake, if you get there first). All of the cakes are available for special order with 48 hours notice.


Carrot Cake
Our version of this all-time favorite cake is made with fresh carrots, crushed pineapple and walnuts. We ice it with a rich cream cheese icing.

Coconut Cake
A moist coconut cake frosted with an almond cream cheese icing and flaked coconut.

Red Velvet Cake
A buttermilk and cocoa powder cake frosted with cream cheese icing.

Black and White Cake
Four layers of cake, alternating chocolate and vanilla, filled with vanilla butter cream and iced with a dark chocolate ganache.

German Chocolate
Three layers of chocolate cake filled and topped with a caramel, coconut and pecan frosting.

Spice Cake
A brown sugar cake spiced with cinnamon, cloves and ginger and frosted with a smooth caramel icing.

Wedding cakes and other special occasion sheet cakes are available by special order. Call or come in for a consultation.
